All who wish to live
their faith by loving and serving their neighbors are
welcome to become members of St. Vincent de Paul
Society.
The society was set up to establish a spiritual and
personal contact between its members and those who
suffer, and to bring to the latter the most effective
and brotherly aid possible. This is achieved through
visits to homes, hospitals, prisons and other
institutions; providing expertise in working with
other government agencies to meet the needs of the
local community; providing aid to other countries;
distribution of religious papers and books. The
society is also promoting the beatification of
Frederic Ozanam, who began the St. Vincent de Paul
Society.
Bins are located near the annex building for the
deposit of clothing which is picked up and distributed
to the needy by the St. Vincent de Paul Society in
Butler. For pick-up of furniture or other large items,
call the rectory for the contact person. Any member of
the parish is welcome to become an active member in
the St. Vincent de Paul Society ministry.
