 Religious Education Program Choices

The Religious Education Program of St. Ferdinand Parish has three different options for the fall.

  1. On-Site Program - is the traditional classroom model held in the Religious Education Building.

  2. Home-Site Programis the classroom model of education, for grades one through eight, held in neighborhood homes.

  3. Family Centered Program – is a family program held monthly at the Religious Education Building. Parents teach their children at home the rest of the month.

Volunteers

Each year, many people just like you and me volunteer to do something amazing – they take time out from their busy lives to serve their parish as Religious Education teachers, aides and home-site volunteers. When the year comes to an end, they often find that through their experience, they too, were spiritually enriched. These caring people, by their word and example, help our children to recognize God’s presence in their daily life. They help our children see the goodness of His creation.

Our religious education program could not run without our volunteers. If you feel called to serve in this ministry, but are concerned that you may not be qualified, please do not let this discourage you. The requirements for this position are “people” of faith who have the desire to help others grow in their faith. We will provide you with all the support you need, including excellent teaching materials. The summer months are often a good time to become familiar with our textbooks and audio-visual materials.
