Youth Ministry CROSS WALK

"Your life is a sacred journey. And it is about change, growth, discovery, movement, transformation, continuously expanding your vision of what is possible, stretching your soul, learning to see clearly and deeply, listening to your intuition, taking courageous challenges at every step along the way. You are on the path... exactly where you are meant to be right now... and from here you can only go forward, shaping your life story into a magnificent tale of triumph, of healing, of courage, of beauty, of wisdom, of power, of dignity, and of love."                                                            - Caroline Adams

If you are in the 6th through 12th grade, you are automatically a part of the CROSS + WALK Youth Ministry. Chances are you are wondering what that means…so allow us to explain.

Junior CROSS+WALK (6th - 8th grades) includes time for prayer and worship, learning more about faith, leadership training, social time, and service opportunities. Your educational classes now incorporate an option once a month to gather with your peers. This way you can get to know one another better and become friends instead of just classmates. We also have speakers and other fun events planned. As always, there will be additional monthly socials or community service events available for you and your friends…even if they aren’t members of our parish.

Senior CROSS+WALK (9th – 12th grades) includes weekly opportunities to pray together and be educated in your faith. It also gives you a chance to make new friends, do service for others and develop good leadership skills. You are also invited to join our Living Stations team. This group re-enacts the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus in prayer service form. There are social and service events available to you and your friends each month too.

Our team members are dedicated and work hard to provide a place where there is great love and respect…a place that you can feel safe and welcomed. Our main goal is to show you Christ’s love while assisting you on your life journey.

Your friends are always welcome and do not need to be members of our parish. Information and forms for all of our events can be obtained from the bulletin board in the church or outside of the Youth Office. You can also find this information on our website at www.stferdym.org. For more information call Andrea at 724-776-1920 or Debbie at 724-776-9177 ext. 314.
