faces of children. If you are able to volunteer, please
sign up in the narthex.
Boxes, Boxes, Boxes
Do you or anyone you know have cardboard
wardrobe boxes from a recent move? The White Elephant is
in need of these as well as other size boxes in good
condition. Please drop the boxes off at the education
building after Monday, July 5.
Pies needed for Sunday festival dinner
We are in need of homemade, bakery or
store bought pies for the Sunday Festival Dinner. Pies
can be dropped off Sunday, August 15, by noon in Oldenski Hall kitchen.
Handcrafted Items Requested for Boutique
The Festival Boutique stand relies on the
handcrafted items made by our parishioners. Knowing the
time and effort that goes into these items, why not
start now so your specialty is ready in early August.
Spring Cleaning
It’s Spring
Cleaning time! If you have “gently used” or new items
that are no longer wanted or needed, please consider
donating them to our wonderful White Elephant Sale for
St. Ferdinand’s festival. We ask that items be clean and
that pieces are packaged together. Please indicate the
type and size of linens and attach to the piece. Sorry,
we cannot accept clothing, shoes, refrigerators, fuel
containers, tires, or any computer components over five
years old. If you have large items, especially
furniture, please try to wait until the end of July to
donate these larger items. We will accept
donations, from
Wednesday, July 7
through August 9.
Please Help In The Kitchen
Preparations for the Sunday Festival
Dinner will begin on July 29 and July 30 after the
morning Mass. Additional prep times are: Aug 8
2:00pm -5:00pm, Aug 9,10,11 6:00-9:00pm. If you
are available during these times, please consider
lending a hand. All are welcome.
Country Kitchen
Cookies, cakes, pies, any baked goods, jams, jellies,
fresh produce, flowers and plants are all welcome
additions to the Country Kitchen Booth. Please bring
your donations directly to the booth on the days of the
festival.
Festival Small Raffles
We are
asking for donations to assemble baskets for the Small
Raffle Booth.
New
items are being accepted at the rectory
now, and no donation is too small. Some suggestions
include gourmet food items, kitchen items, sporting
goods, toys, baby items, bottles of cheer, candles,
household items, craft items, picnic items, Steeler,
Pirate or Penguin memorabilia, gift certificates or
lottery tickets. In addition, we are in need of large
baskets. If you have any that are no longer of use to
you, will you please donate them to our raffle booth?
We Need You!
The White Elephant really needs your
help. Please come join us and experience the camaraderie
and satisfaction of seeing the results of your help for
the Church! We are in need of help to sort & price from
July 5 through August 9 on:
Monday,
Wednesday & Friday 9:00 am-2:00 pm and Tuesday &
Thursday, 7:00 pm-9:00 pm.
Any
amount of help you can give, even if it is only a few
hours, will really make a difference and be greatly
appreciated. Never done it before? No problem! Our core
team of workers is here to help get you started, answer
questions, and provide on-the-job training! Call
Charlotte at 724-776-9112 if you have any questions.
