Creating a warm atmosphere for all worshipers is the first priority of the Greeters. Entire families are also encouraged to participate in this ministry, which often sets the tone for how people will feel while participating in the worship service. Greeters assist the worshippers in being seated, in taking the offertory collection, in regulating the flow of worshippers for reception of the Eucharist and other processions, in the distribution of the Pittsburgh Catholic and parish bulletin, and in various ways during other special liturgies or events. Greeters also assist in counting and recording the collection following the Mass and other special liturgies and events. Interested parishioners should contact Father Gallagher.
